Bill Aiken - Principal & CEO
Bill has over 14 years of finance and performance management experience having worked for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and a major consulting firm. Bill founded Abacist Group in 2007.
Prior to Abacist, Bill served as a Finance Director for PepsiCo/Frito-Lay where he worked for 10 years. During that time, Bill achieved the following:
- Led the financial management process for PepsiCo North America’s largest sales channel, Strategic Grocery ($7 Billion), for Pepsi-Cola, Frito-Lay, Gatorade, Quaker, and Tropicana
- Led project preparation effort to implement SAP financials at Frito-Lay
- Helped to achieve significant growth of Frito-Lay’s sales at WalMart through leading team’s performance management process -- contributed nearly half of Frito-Lay’s revenue growth
- Launched Frito’s finance Center-of-Excellence to manage profitable growth from New Product Innovation
- Created a methodology to measure the financial and business impact of investments in major integrated marketing platforms
- Helped develop the corporate Annual Operating Plan & Strategic Plan
- Evaluated potential acquisitions through financial valuation & due diligence
- Won the prestigious PepsiCo Chairman’s Award for working with a team that launched a line of business targeting Hispanic consumers
- Managed the creation of many lasting tools & models including: an Economic Model used to evaluate all major capital investments, a Pricing Model, a new product P&L model, a Activity-Based Brand forecasting tool, and a Marketing Post Event Analysis Framework
Prior to PepsiCo/Frito-Lay:
- Worked for Nortel, Accenture, and a small DFW business, the Great North American Companies
- Earned an MBA at McCombs School of Business, University of Texas
- Earned his B.A. in Economics at Washington & Lee University where he appeared on the Dean’s List and Honor Roll, and was a University Scholar
